Hi dear editor.
I'm Fabiola Moraga from Chile, especifically from Panguipulli city. I'm writing this letter because I was really astonished when realized that the relevant issues that are happening in our country are even more relevant abroad. Actually, I'm extremely sad for our river because this is the home of lots of species, ecosystems, life!
It is incredible that our environmental laws are still weak.
We have fought for our beautiful river. We want to stop this masacre but we need people become aware of this big problem. I hope we could save our environment from those people who do not care about future generations.
My regards from Chile RÍOS LIBRES! (FREE RIVERS) Fabiola Moraga |

Dear Editor, I applaud your efforts to restrain these dams from being constructed in Patagonia. My son had recently returned from living there and informed me of the happenings. |

Dear Editor, I saw your piece online (PT, March 11). Are you aware that there is an approach which can put global warming on hold called geoengineering?
Geoengineering has been endorsed for study by many prominent scienists over the past 30 years including the president of the National Academy of Sciences in the United States. |

Dear Editor, In the last three years I have done two two week trips to the southernmost point of Chile, Cape Horn. I have been from Santiago to Puerto Montt, to Caleta Gonzalo and Chaiten, Futalefu, and over the Andes by small plane. I have hiked Torres del Paine and visited with travelers from all over the world. And I have sailed around Cape Horn with Chilean seamen, visiting glaciers and archeological sites dating back 10,000 years.ditor, |

Dear Editor, I am much in support of Chile, Chilean salmon, etc. - so, although this may sound critical, what I really want to know is where the truth lies. My remarks rise out of my personal experience with Chilean salmon 'nurseries' (I only saw the large fish farms out in the water by Chiloe from a distance). |
